2001 NB Provincial Triathlon Race Series

Introduction

Triathlon BC is pleased to present the "2001 New Balance Provincial Triathlon Race Series". The Series will consist of 9 races, and athletes must complete (officially finish) at least three of these races - including one of standard (Olympic) distance or greater, to qualify for Series awards.

Sponsorship

Triathlon BC has secured sponsorship for the 2001 race series. This sponsorship will aid us in our mission to provide the members of our association with an exciting, challenging, safe, and enjoyable set of events to compete in. Specifically, this sponsorship will enable us to provide excellent awards and prizes to the age group, junior and elite athletes that complete the series. 

New Balance is the title sponsor of the race series.

Series Rules

It is required/recommended that all competitors in the series review the race series rules. The key rules are outlined below.

  • must complete 3 of the 9 races
  • one race must be of Olympic/Standard Distance or longer
  • must be a Tri-BC member to qualify for series prizes or awards
  • Elite series prize money of: $500, $400, $300, $200, $100 - must hold a Tri-BC elite card to be eligible
  • Every series finisher (i.e., the 3 races of appropriate distance are completed) will receive a series finishers award
  • Age groups are determined by each 5 year boundary
  • Scoring system - please check any inconsistencies and report to Tri-BC
