Triathlon Series Rules

All competitors in the series should review the Race Series rules. The key rules are outlined below:

  • Must complete 3 of the 8 races.

  • Must be a current TriBC member in good standing to qualify for series prizes or awards.

  • Must hold a current TriBC Junior Elite card to race in and qualify for prizes in the Jr Elite category.  Jr Elite cards are only issued at the beginning of the race season when applying for 2007-08 TriBC membership and are based on results in the previous race season.  Note: There are residency restrictions for TriBC Junior Elite cards. For more information, see 'Junior Elite' under Athlete Development.

  • Every series finisher (ie, the 4 of 6 races listed above are completed) will receive a series finishers award.

  • Scoring system will be determined by a reverse point system based on each participant's top 3 series finishes.  Any ties will be broken based on performance at the Provincial Junior Championship.  Any errors or omissions should be reported to TriBC as soon as possible after results and points are posted for each race.

  • Birthdates have standardized to prevent changing age categories partway through the season. Ages will be calculated as of December 31, 2007.
