Race Directors and Sanctioning

One of the main roles of a governing body for sport is to provide sanctioning for events held within its jurisdiction. Triathlon BC is committed to ensuring that high-quality events are held in the province of BC by requiring race directors and organizations who request that their events be sanctioned adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in our sanctioning package. Officiating - Rules & Regulations

The Officials development model used by Triathlon BC falls under the broader models used by Triathlon Canada (NSO) International Triathlon Union (World Governing Body).   MORE INFORMATION

Sanction Package - Short Form

This abbreviated process is only available for previously approved events, with a safe hosting history (no claims/incidents over a minimum of 5 years).  Further, events requesting the Short Form must have had Officials assigned to their events over the same period.

If your event has been approved to use the Short Form, PLEASE COMPLETE THE SANCTION FORM HERE.

PLEASE NOTE, ONLY APPROVED EVENTS WILL BE PROCESSED.  EVENTS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY APPROVED WILL BE DISCARDED.
