BC 55+ Games Triathlon Core Sport Enrollment

Triathlon BC is preparing a bid to become a core sport in the 2018 BC 55+ Games.  The Games, held in a different community around British Columbia each year, attract over 1,000 athletes that participate in up to 29 different sports. As part of the evaluation process, Triathlon BC must show the Games’ Selection Committee that our sport has a broad participation base throughout the province, and that we can provide names of individuals, across all twelve provincial Games zones, that could act as potential volunteers that the local Zone Sport Committees could draw upon, should the sport of Triathlon be selected as a sport in the 55+ Games.

Triathlon BC would like to ask the assistance of our members to help make our bid a success.  We have already placed very enthusiastic individuals to 8 of the Games’ 12 Zones, but need to fill all Zones with contact volunteers prior to submitting our application.  If you reside in one of the four Zones listed below, and would like to be part of the movement to offer competitive opportunities to athletes 55 years and older, Triathlon BC and master athletes across BC would be grateful.
