Triathlon BC is looking for enthusiastic coaches that want to contribute to the success of our Canada Summer Games (CSG) 2022 team! If you think you would be a good fit we want to hear from you!
Please submit a brief coaching resume with all your relevant certifications, your High-Performance Pathway experience, and a brief introduction to Triathlon BC High Performance committee ASAP! The deadline for submissions is 5pm November 5th, 2021. Please send coaching resume packages to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note, under the Provincial Gathering and Events Order dated October 26, 2021, all adult (19+) leading, supervising, or assisting a sport program for children and youth must have received two doses of vaccine. (Section D.7 and D. 8). This includes coaches, volunteers and officials for indoor and outdoor sport.
Interested coaches should be Competition Development trained or certified as this is a requirement of the CSG society. Triathlon BC is committed to the safety and integrity of sport and will require all coaches staff and athletes have completed Safe Sport and True Sport training. The selected coach will be required to attend all CSG camps, the selection event and the 2022 Canada Summer Games. These events are currently scheduled for:
Camp #1 – December 3-4, 2021 in Whistler BC
Camp #2 – March 19-24, 2022 in Victoria BC
Mid- June 2022 (TBA) Victoria or Vancouver area*
Canada Summer Games:
August 5-14, 2022, Niagara, Ontario
The selected assistant coach will be required to aid in planning and implementation of all Games related activities as directed by the head coach.
As part of Triathlon BC’s commitment to developing HP Pathway coaches and provide mentorship, all short-listed coaches will be invited to CSG eligibility camp #1 in Whistler BC December 3-4, 2021 as well as the March camp in Victoria and the selection event. Triathlon BC will provide accommodation and travel costs for short listed coaches.
Final selection of the assistant coach position will be announced by December 15, 2021.
