The Canadian Sport Institute (CSI), through a partnership with the Province of BC, ViaSport the network of PacificSport Centers and Triathlon BC, collaborate to deliver value added services to springboard qualified BC athletes on to Triathlon Canada’s National Team, and ultimately, the world’s top podiums.

Through this unique partnership, Triathlon BC is fortunate to be designated as an Integrated Performance Sport (IPS) within the Enhanced Excellence program, receiving high performance funding to ensure athletes and coaches have every advantage to win medals for Canada. The partners within the IPS work jointly to raise the bar in high performance sport delivery, encourage sport excellence and increase podium performances in communities across British Columbia and Canada.

Canadian Sport Institute / PacificSport athlete and coach support for the Canadian Development and Provincial Development nomination focuses on athletes identified by the sport specific Gold Medal Profile (GMP). These athletes represent BC’s next generation (~5 years from Podium) and future generation (~10 years from Podium) of Olympic and World Championship medalists.

Within the IPS Program, Triathlon BC can nominate athletes and their coaches who meet specific criteria for Canadian Sport Institute / Pacific Sport athlete or coach registration. Upon registering, athletes and coaches can enjoy enhanced programs, benefits, and selected support services through the Canadian Sport Institute and the network of Pacific Sport regional centres in BC.
