As a participant or supporter, you MUST attend accreditation or make arrangements for your accreditation package to be picked up (see instructions below).  Accreditation takes place at the Capital News Centre on Tuesday September 10 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and on Wednesday September 11 from 12:00 noon until 5:00pm.

If you do not attend accreditation or make alternate arrangements, YOU WILL BE MARKED AS A NO-SHOW and be unable to compete.

What do I do if I can’t make it to Accreditation?

If you are unable to make it to Accreditation, you must arrange to have your accreditation package picked up on your behalf. A designated person may pick up a team’s package, or a partner’s, or two individuals using the “Accreditation Package Pick-up Form”. The designated individual must show ID and sign for the package.

As you are travelling and participating in activities while you are at the Games, please be sure to ensure you have adequate medical insurance.  BCSGS does not provide personal injury insurance as part of your membership.  You are responsible for your own supplemental insurance.

The Games do not happen without a huge group of volunteers supporting it.  There are still a number of areas that need volunteers.  If you live in the area, please mention the Games to your friends to see if they would be willing to come and volunteer.  If you are coming to the Games to watch, please consider volunteering at the Games as well.

Special request – Due to another swimming event happening in the Okanagan, The Games are very short of volunteers at the swimming event.  Volunteering means you will get a front row seat on all the action and have contributed to the success of the Games.  As a volunteer, you also qualify for a number of “Thank you” gifts. Learn more about volunteering here. If you are travelling to watch someone compete at the Games or are participating in the swimming event and can lend a hand, please consider volunteering.  We need you!
