The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Qualicum Beach Tri/Du invite athletes to beautiful Qualicum Beach on the Canada Day long weekend (Sunday, June 30th) and participate in a Sprint Triathlon for all ages – from Tiny Tri, ages 4-7,  all the way up to super seniors in their seventies.  The event includes a pool swim in the Ravensong Aquatic Centre, a bike around the village of Qualicum (number of laps depending on age group) and a run through shaded forested  trails.

Medals presented to winners in every age group, to all our minor and tiny tri athletes,  and tons of draw prizes for all ages from our community sponsors.  This is a “FUN” family and community oriented triathlon for everyone – past participants rave about the course and friendliness of the event.   For newbies or anyone doing their first TRI….this is a great event to get you started on your triathlon career.    New racers are also encouraged to watch the intro video HERE.

NEW this year is a Duathlon on the same run and bike course for athletes ages 15 plus.  Duathlon competitors can also qualifying spot on Triathlon Canada’s National Age Group Team for the 2020 ITU World Championships! If you find swimming difficult or would love to race without getting wet, then the duathlon is for you – RUN-BIKE RUN on a  beautiful course and be part of this exciting community event.

With a 22 hosting history, the event is proud of the many compliments from the competitors and spectators, and is thankful of local community sponsors who kick in to make the event special!  Check out the event’s website –   which has all the details and registration information, but note,   registration closes June 15th!
