Hello Triathlon writers, photographers, friends and sport aficionados!

Great to be in the calm weeks after the holidays… setting goals and dreaming dreams for the upcoming Triathlon year.

This also means it’s time to get busy with the production of the 2019 TriathlonBC Magazine, and reaching out to those who might like to contribute to the magazine, which is scheduled to arrive in mailboxes (in print!) by the end of April.

A few ideas we’re working on:

  • Tokyo 2020
  • New styles of racing, new races – such as adaptive categories, swim-run etc.
  • Extended spotlight on nutrition especially differing needs of short course vs long course athletes, and the different metabolic needs of young vs old competitors
  • National Performance Centre in Victoria – and new coaches for Canada, mentoring, etc.
  • Race Directors thoughts on 2020, and I’ll be connecting with some in BC, Ontario and Alberta.

Your ideas are welcome, too! Please be in touch! Contact Lara Spence at lara@laraspence.com 604 828 4249. Any word length is fine, but realize that articles over 1600 words will likely be edited.

If you know someone who may have an idea, article, or picture to contribute, feel free to pass this onto them!   I’d like to thank our supporters for so many years of great racing and content!
