ELIGIBILITY The contest is open to anyone who wishes to share their love of Triathlon racing, volunteering, officiating or coaching in BC.
FORMAT Entries are to be digital photographs and submitted electronically. Borders, frames, text or other graphic treatments are strongly discouraged.
Finalists will be asked to submit a high-resolution file suitable for print reproduction. High-resolution photographs must be at least 300 dpi at 6 x 9 inches. Capture the moment.
ENTRY Entries are to be submitted electronically through any of the following contest entry channels:
Race Day Action – What is happening in your world on race day? We want to see it!
Training – Show us how you train. Do you train on vacation or...?
Coaching – Turn the camera on coaches and show us how they bring out the best in you.
Humorous – Got a funny training our racing pic? Let us be the judge.
Youth in Action - See a future Olympian or a kid having the race of their life? Take a snap and share it (Please note a photo release waiver is required).
Volunteers - Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring good races, take some photo's and show us volunteers in action!
Race Directors – From finish line construction, race take down & transition set up. Show us pictures from behind the scenes on race day.
Tri Anything – Show us photos you think are related to being a Triathlete, coach, official and we will be the judge.
Grand Prize (1): Photograph featured on the front cover of the 2015 Triathlon BC Photo Book.
Category Prize (8): Photographs will be printed, featured at our 2015 Photo Book and on our website.
ENTRIES AND IDENTIFICATION
Entries must be submitted online via contest entry channels as outlined above. Triathlon BC reserves the right to place the entry in the appropriate category. Triathlon BC holds the right to disqualify entries with inappropriate content.
PUBLICATION Winners' names and photographs will be published on the Triathlon BC website. A selection of entries will also be published in 2015 Triathlon BC Photobook. Triathlon BC reserves the non-exclusive right to publish any entry and/or use any entry in promotional and advertising materials. Photos published will be credited to the photographer where possible. Winners may be asked to participate in other Triathlon BC marketing initiatives related to promoting Triathlon in the Province of British Columbia.
DEADLINE All entries uploaded through the various contest entry channels outlined above and must be received prior to 4:00 pm PST, September 1, 2015.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE With regard to any photograph submitted to this contest, the entrant, or the owner of copyright in the photograph, retains copyright. By uploading or submitting any photograph to this contest, the entrant grants (or warrant that the owner of such materials expressly grants) Triathlon BC a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any Triathlon BC purpose, including, but not limited to advertising and promotional materials, its website, exhibition, and commercial products, including but not limited to Triathlon BC publications. Triathlon BC will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses. Winning entrants are required to sign a release containing the above conditions.
