Call for Nominations: 2026 Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards
Sport BC has opened nominations for the 2026 Athlete of the Year Awards, the annual celebration of excellence across British Columbia’s amateur sport community. The event will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. We are encouraging our community to submit nominations and help recognize outstanding athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and sport leaders.
This year’s program includes several important updates. A new Youth (U18) Athlete category has been added to highlight emerging talent. University athletes are now eligible within the Junior (U23) category if they meet the age requirements. Sport BC has also introduced a new online nomination system through Cognito Forms. This platform allows nominators to save their progress and return to complete submissions later.
