Triathlon BC is proud to announce the return of the Race Directors Conference, now in its 12th year of supporting excellence in event delivery across the province and beyond. Taking place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Holiday Inn Metrotown in Burnaby, this full-day professional development event brings together industry leaders from across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and beyond.
“This is hands down the most valuable day of the year for anyone involved in event management in BC. The connections, the resources, the ideas—you walk away energized and ready to take your race to the next level.”
Building on the success of past events, this year’s Conference marks an exciting expansion of our collaborative efforts. BC Athletics once again joins Triathlon BC as a key stakeholder, with Cycling BC coming onboard in 2025, uniting the province’s multi-discipline organizers under one roof for a powerful day of learning, networking, and growth.
“The topics covered the range of education our volunteer race directors, who were new to the role, needed to organize local community events.”
The Race Directors Conference features a curated program of expert-led sessions including:
- Steve Fleck, Emcee: Professional Live Race/Event Announcer, Presenter & Sports Commentator for running, cycling and triathlon events.
- Ihor Veres, Keynote: Known for being the first Canadian to finish the Barkley Marathons, widely regarded as one of the toughest races in the world.
Get ready for a day packed with insights from senior industry experts, networking, and inspiration, featuring sessions on:
