A journey that started over six months ago, has come to its crescendo last weekend, with combined individual Bike, Run and Swim time trials and the North Shore Draft Legal Super Sprint Triathlon, race three of Triathlon BC’s Provincial SuperSeries. The Final shortlisted athletes battled to earn a spot to represent British Columbia at the 2022 Canada Summer Games, which will take place in Niagara, Ontario, from Saturday, August 6 through to Sunday,  August 21.

As the dust settled, three male and three female athletes (and alternates), were selected to TeamBC, each of whom will go on to compete in three separate events; Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run), Super Sprint Triathlon (300m swim, 8km bike, 1.6km run) and the Mixed Team Relay (<300m swim, <8km bike, <1.6km run), accumulating points from all events to provide the final Provincial/Territorial team Games ranking.

Each TeamBC athlete will receive a comprehensive Games kit, courtesy of our partners in sport, including Rudy Project and F2C Nutrition.

TeamBC athletes will compete during the first week of the Games (August 8, 11 and 12), against Canada’s best young competitors.  The Canada Summer Games are this country’s largest multi-sport event for young athletes, and feature over 4,000 athletes from 19 different sports, attracting over 20,000 spectators over the duration of the Games.
