Triathlon BC is excited to confirm that the Off-Road (Cross) Triathlon National Championships has been awarded to XTERRA Victoria, taking place on July 7th out of Durrance Lake, home of the Mt. Work Mountain Bike Park and Partridge Hills.
With its reputation for world class mountain biking already established, BC is quickly developing as a hotbed of off-road triathlon, as it hosts the third successive year of the Championship discipline.
“On behalf of Human Powered Racing, we are ecstatic that XTERRA Victoria will be the host of the Canadian Age Group Off-Road Triathlon Championships at Durrance Lake in 2024. We look forward to welcoming athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators from across Canada to experience the breath-taking beauty that Vancouver Island has to offer. The XTERRA Victoria venue is spectacular and we’re sure the competition will be fierce. We look forward to hosting you next season,” stated Rob Dibden, Race Director and former Sport BC President’s Award recipient.

As part of the National Championship event, Triathlon BC is also delighted to announce the XTERRA Victoria will offer three World Championship qualifying spots for each gender across all 5-year age group categories.
