The Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO) have confirmed the return of its The T100 Triathlon World Tour series to Vancouver on 15-16 August, 2026.
The decision follows a highly successful debut event in the city, which saw American superstar Taylor Knibb and Belgian Olympian Jelle Geens win the professional women’s and men’s T100 races – competing alongside more than 3,000 amateur athletes who took part in 100km (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run), Sprint and Junior Super Sprint triathlons as well as a Sun Up 5km run.

The weekend also received overwhelmingly positive pro and amateur feedback, with the event recording the best reviews on the T100 Tour to date.
The importance of the T100 Tour coming to Vancouver was underlined by Canadian ace, Paula Findlay, who finished eighth in the women’s pro race: “It’s super important to have a race in Canada and have such great crowd support around such a beautiful venue.”
“This is fantastic news,” said Allan Prazsky, Executive Director of Triathlon BC. “The return of the T100 World Tour to Vancouver is a tremendous win for British Columbia’s multisport community. The 2025 event delivered an incredible debut, showcasing world-class racing, spectacular scenery, and amazing community support. Welcoming the world’s best athletes back in 2026 will continue to inspire participation, elevate our sport’s profile in BC and across Canada, and strengthen the province’s position as a premier destination for endurance sport.”

Before finishing with an 18km run out and back along Locarno Beach and Spanish Banks Beach Park.
“Canada is always a country that punches above its weight in terms of the performances of its athletes competing in the biggest races,” said PTO CEO Sam Renouf. “Vancouver is a city with a strong Olympic heritage and tradition of hosting the best sports events and it absolutely delivered this year, so we’re excited to be working with Destination Vancouver again and look forward to Vancouverites coming out to support the world’s best triathletes as well as get involved in our range of amateur events.”
