PARATRIATHLON SUPPORT GRANT

Program Overview

Triathlon Canada has developed one of the top paratriathlon programs in the world, bringing with it medal-winning results at the international level, including the Paralympic Games.

One of the newest sports added to the Paralympic Games, paratriathlon debuted at the 2016 Rio Games where Alberta’s Stefan Daniel celebrated a silver medal. Since that breakthrough, paratriathlon has not lost sight of two goals: introduce more Canadians with a disability to triathlon; and develop more Canadian medal winners.

Triathlon BC is doing its part to support that mission through the Paratriathlete Support Grant, designed to provide financial assistance to athletes with a disability who are pursuing excellence in the sport of triathlon. This program aims to reduce barriers to participation, enhance performance development, and support progression along the provincial and national pathway.
