Join Triathlon BC for a 2.5-hour Open Water Swim Clinic led by Les Pereira on Saturday, May 23 at Jericho Beach.

This clinic is designed to help triathletes of all levels build confidence, efficiency, and essential open water skills as we head into race season. Whether you’re newer to open water swimming or an experienced triathlete looking to refine your technique, this session will provide hands-on coaching and individualized feedback in a supportive environment.

What to Expect:

  • Learn from an expert: Coaching led by Les Pereira, NCCP Certified Triathlon Competition Coach and Swim Coach
  • Open water fundamentals: Sighting, drafting, buoy turns, pacing, and swimming in a group
  • Skill development for race day: Practical skills and drills tailored specifically for triathlon
  • Small group setting: Plenty of individual feedback and skill progression

About the Coach, Les Pereira:
Les brings decades of experience to the water. He has raced 5 Ironman and 26 Half Ironman events, has been a swim instructor and lifeguard since 1980, and is deeply involved in triathlon development in Canada. Les is a former President of Triathlon Canada and Triathlon BC, and currently serves as swim coaches for Penninsula Multisport, Steveston Athletic and Pacific Spirit triathlon clubs. His coaching focuses on practical, race-ready skills that help athletes perform with confidence.
