Triathlon Canada Age Group World Championships Qualification Process

2. Register for an Age Group World Championship qualification race
a. All the Age Group World Championships Qualifiers are posted to Triathlon Canada’s Race Calendar. You can sort by province and discipline to ensure you find the race that is perfect for you!
3. Submit your EOI
a. An Expression of Interest (EOI) must be submitted PRIOR to each Qualification event.
b. ONLY athletes who have completed an EOI for a qualifying spot prior to the event will be included in the results submitted to Triathlon Canada. Any athlete without an EOI will be deemed to have declined their spot should they receive a result within the allocated number of qualifying spots.

4. Race!
a. Athletes who have submitted an EOI and place within the number of allocated qualifying spots in the age category amongst those who have submitted an EOI, will qualify through preliminary qualification.
b. Athletes who have submitted and place within the top 8 in their age category will be eligible for preliminary roll down qualification (outlined in step 7).
5. Wait for an email confirming your qualification
a. We ask the provinces to send in the age adjusted results* within 1 month of the event.
b. Once we receive the results an email will be sent to those who have qualified through Direct qualification outlining the next steps for them to claim their spot.
c. A list of athletes who have qualified through Direct qualification, as well as those who are eligible for preliminary roll down qualification (see step 6) will be posted for each race on the publications page.
6. Preliminary Roll down qualification
a. Athletes who place within the top 8 in their age group, gender and discipline will be eligible for roll down qualification.
b. Roll down spots will be available on a first come, first served basis until the allocated quota spots from World Triathlon are filled.
c. Athletes who are eligible for roll down qualification will be notified via email at the end of the race season.
