Triathlon BC delivers another full line up of World Championship qualifying opportunities with the release of the 2024 race calendar.

With a total of eleven qualifying events spanning six months, the opportunity to represent Canada at the 2025 World Championships has never been better. Close to 1,400 motivated racers from across the country submitted Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the qualifying process in 2023. With the 2024 Age Group National Team consisting of almost 500 athletes, competition for the limited Team spots is sure to be fierce.

Athletes will have the opportunity to earn the right to wear the Maple Leaf in nine different disciplines next year; Aquabike, Aquathlon, Cross (Off-Road) Triathlon, Sprint and Standard Duathlon, Sprint, Standard, Long Distance Triathlons and the Mixed Team Relay Triathlon.

Triathlon Canada’s Age-Group World Championship Teams consist of top performing athletes who earn a spot at provincial qualifying events, each going on to represent Canada on the world stage at the World Championships. Team members have the unique opportunity to proudly represent their country, participate in a unique team environment and celebrate their sport within the global multisport community.

“Triathlon Canada’s Age Group World Championship Team is such a unique opportunity for athletes to celebrate our sport, while racing on the same courses and at the same venues as the World’s best Elite athletes,” said Allan Prazsky, Executive Director of Triathlon BC. “The demand for a spot on the Canadian team keeps growing every year, it’s amazing to be part of that experience and seeing what the athletes are capable of.”

Each year, World Triathlon holds both Multisport World Championships and the World Triathlon Championships in a different host location, attracting thousands of like-minded, top performing, destination-minded age group athletes from around the world.
