Triathlon BC is proud to announce the host venues for the 2026 Provincial Triathlon Championships, showcasing British Columbia’s premier multisport events and the athletes who bring them to life. Spanning the disciplines of Off-Road (Cross) Triathlon, Sprint, Standard and Long Distance Triathlon, Mixed Team Relay, together with the draft legal Junior and U23 performance pathway Championships, the 2026 Championship events highlights the depth, diversity, and strength of the sport across the province.
2026 also brings an additional point of pride to the province; Kelowna will once again play host to the 2026 National Championships, marking the return of a major national title event to one of Canada’s most storied tourist destinations. With its vibrant downtown waterfront, experienced organizing committee, and long history of producing world-class events, Kelowna is poised to welcome the country’s top age group athletes across multiple championship age categories.
Mixed Team Relay Championship – Oliver Half Triathlon, June 7
The fast-paced, crowd-pleasing Mixed Team Relay format arrives at the Oliver Half Triathlon. Teams of four will race in quick succession in one of BC’s warmest and most vibrant triathlon communities. The Oliver Triathlon Weekend is also a World Championship Qualifier for the Sprint Triathlon, Mixed Team Relay, Long Distance Triathlon and Aquabike.
Sprint Distance Triathlon Championship – Wasa Triathlon, June 14
The iconic Wasa Triathlon will crown the 2026 Sprint Distance Provincial Champions. Known for its pristine lake, smooth roads, and welcoming atmosphere, the Wasa Triathlon remains a favourite for participants of all levels.
Long Distance Triathlon Championship – Victoria Half & Sprint Triathlon, July 13
One of BC’s marquee long-course events, the Victoria Half Triathlon serves as the 2026 Long Distance Provincial Championship. With calm lake swim and scenic roads, the Victoria Half provides an ideal setting for athletes pursuing long-distance excellence. The Victoria Half & Sprint Triathlon is also a World Championship Qualifier for the Long Distance Triathlon and Aquabike, as well as the Standard Distance Duathlon.
Standard Distance Triathlon Championship – Peach Classic Triathlon, July 18/19
The historic Peach Classic Triathlon will host the Standard Distance Provincial Championship. This historic event continues to offer a world-class race experience in the heart of the Okanagan. The Peach Classic Triathlon is a World Championship Qualifier for the Sprint and Standard Distance Triathlon, in addition to Aquathlon.
Off-Road (Cross) Triathlon Championship – Dodge City X Triathlon, September 5
Renowned for its world-class trail network, the Dodge City X Triathlon will once again host BC’s Cross Triathlon Championship. Athletes will tackle technical singletrack, forested climbs, and fast-flowing descents. The Dodge City X Triathlon is a World Championship Qualifier for Off-Road (Cross) Triathlon.
Duathlon Championship – Cultus Lake Triathlon, September 20
The Cultus Lake Triathlon returns as the Duathlon Provincial Championship, offering a fast, spectator-friendly run-bike-run format set against one of BC’s most scenic park settings. The Cultus Lake Triathlon is a World Championship Qualifier for the Standard Distance Triathlon, Aquabike, Duathlon and Aquathlon.
National Championships – Sprint, Standard, and Aquabike – Kelowna Apple Triathlon, August 8
The City of Kelowna takes centre stage nationally as it hosts the Triathlon Canada’s National Championships, August 8th, reinforcing Kelowna’s legacy as a premier multisport destination.
