We’re two races into Triathlon BC’s hot new X-Tri Series, and the trails have been nothing short of electric!

Round 1: Squamish Triathlon, June 7
Kicking things off in true off-road fashion, the Squamish Triathlon delivered rugged terrain, stunning views, and fast-paced racing. Athletes tackled the technical bike course and trail run with grit and determination, setting the tone for what promises to be a thrilling season.

Round 2: XTERRA Victoria, July 6
Next up, XTERRA Victoria brought world-class racing to Vancouver Island. With a quality field and a challenging course around Durrance Lake, athletes pushed their limits in this premier event. From first-timers to seasoned pros, the energy on course was unmatched.

Series Standings Shaping Up
With two rounds down and two to go, the leaderboard is starting to take shape. Series points are heating up as athletes aim to secure their spot in the overall standings. It’s still anyone’s game, and with points from your best three races counting toward the total, every performance matters.

What’s Next? The X-Tri Series continues this summer with:

Round 3: Frontrunners Fit Chiropractic Dodge City X, BC OFF-ROAD TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS (September 6th): One of Canada’s premier off-road triathlons, this challenging event features a swim in glacier-fed Comox Lake, a technical ride through lush rainforest single-track and a trail run on some of North America’s best trails.

The event also serves as the BC Cross‑Triathlon Championship, offering premium BC X Tri Series points and a shot at qualifying for the World Multisport Championships With a lively festival vibe, strong community spirit, elite prize purse, and the famed “Tough as Dodge Award,” it’s as much about grit and camaraderie as it is about competition

Round 4: Whistler X Tri  (September 14th): With three thrilling formats, the Whistler X Tri will see athletes dive into Lost Lake, tackle globally renowned single track MTB trails, and finish strong with a challenging trail run—all set against Whistler’s iconic alpine backdrop

As the final stop in a four‑race provincial X-Tri Series, this the Whistler X Tri seals the overall standings—with podiums and series awards at the finish line!
